pell-mell (This word is pronounced exactly as it indicates.  If you do not understand how to pronounce this word then you should stop trying to say words all together.) adj., In mingled confusion or disorder; in a confused or jumbled mass, crowd, manner, etc.

In an attempt to analyze the scope of a multi-document 6th grade reading curriculum, she immersed herself in the material which was strewn about pell-mell on the floor.
